Joe found me through a guy that he works with who has a cousin that was a groom in a wedding I photographed last summer. Hehe! I love when that happens! When I first met with Kira & Joe last year, they told me they’d get in touch with me in the fall for their engagement session, and that was that. I was not prepared for how at ease I would feel with them at that session, and them with me, and for how well we would just click. I love it even more when that happens. These two make me laugh and smile, and I feel like I’ve known them forever, when we have really spent very little time together.
So when this chilly but sunny December day came around, I was more than excited for what it might bring. Kira and Joe both spoke multiple times in casual conversation about how thankful and awed they are that so many of their family and friends traveled such great distances to share in their wedding celebration. They were both focused on the most important things that day – their union and their celebration with loved ones, and I was more than happy to capture the moments as they happened. I told Kira many times that she was so gorgeous, and I meant every word of it. She was radiant with happiness and love for Joe.
Here are some of the images that I’ve picked to share from their wedding day.
