Hi, I’m Sharon. I’m a wedding & lifestyle photographer located in Kansas City, Missouri. I started my photography business in Peoria, Illinois, then moved to Columbia, Missouri, and have now settled in Kansas City. We love it here.

You may be wondering how to pronounce my last name. It’s french, and it is pronounced ghee-yacht. I love my family more than anything. My family is myself, my husband Andrew, our sixteen-year-old Olin, nine-year-old Jackson, and six-year-old Etta Corinne.

I’ve been shooting weddings for eight years now (two as an assistant, the rest on my own.) I’ve shot over 75 weddings in that time, which has taught me a lot. I always meet with people before they decide to choose me as their wedding photographer, because the interaction between your vendors and yourself on your wedding day is super important. You really do want to like who you will be hanging out with all day.

I love getting to know people and what is important to them, in order to give them pictures they will cherish forever. A photo is a moment in time that one can never replace, and I absolutely love documenting and creating lasting memories from these moments.
